Summary

I am highly motivated and enthusiastic field entomologist with a wide variety of skills and knowledge gained during 8 years of research in the Far East and 7 years in a government research institution.

I am internationally recognised for my research carried out on the biology and population dynamics of social insects (hornets and honeybees) and their pests, parasites and pathogens (77+ publications).

I provide assistance to Prof. F.L.W. Ratnieks and his students with their various research programmes.

I advise the BBC Natural History Unit on Japanese hornet ecology.
